Intake Specialist - Maternal Mental Health

About Prospera
Prospera’s mission is to remove all barriers to helping moms access high quality mental health support. We combine digital tools, mental health coaches, and therapists to provide evidence-based emotional support for anxiety, depression, anger, intrusive thoughts, stress, birth trauma, and more. We are using a novel approach developed at Prospera called Digital Affect Regulation Training (DART).
With a monthly subscription, clients have access to weekly sessions with highly trained mental health coaches with expertise in maternal mental health, and unlimited use of our digital tools library, which includes interactive, evidence-based tools to help clients develop emotion regulation skills.
About the Intake Specialist Role
We are hiring a part-time contractor to help with our initial client intake assessment and onboarding onto the Prospera platform. The role is entirely remote and intake assessments are completed over the phone. You’ll work as part of our clinical team, helping with the following:
- Use motivational interviewing OARS skills to build rapport
- Assess eligibility and fit of potential clients for our maternal mental health program
- Assess for suicidality and symptoms of severe mental illness including bipolar disorder and psychosis
- Explain Prospera’s services to potential clients
- Help clients select their preferred services, setup accounts, and schedule their first appointment
Minimum Requirements:
- BA or BS in psychology or related field
- Master’s degree (MSW, MFT, MA, MS) preferred
- Experience with structured or semi-structured clinical assessment (e.g. ADIS, SCID, MINI)
- Experience with motivational interviewing OARS skills
- Completed coursework in clinical psychology
- Thorough understanding of clinical diagnoses and their symptoms including anxiety, mood, and psychotic disorders
- Strong social skills
- Strong interest in perinatal mental health
- Quiet and private place to complete phone calls
- Access to a computer with a camera and microphone with a strong and consistent internet connection
Note. You do not need to be a licensed mental health professional for this role, however, licensed professionals may apply.
Responsibilities
- Commit at least 15 hours per week to completing intake assessments (Must be available every weekday with hours both in the mornings and afternoons throughout the week)
- Complete documentation according to Prospera’s protocols and procedures
- Communicate with the clinical team on an ongoing basis
Compensation
Compensation is $34/hour on average but ranges depending on performance. Compensation includes a base pay rate plus comission bonuses.
This job does not accrue hours toward licensure as any mental health professional (LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, etc.).
