Coach Mentor Role
We are seeking a coach mentor to join our team and help support our coaches. This is a part-time, temporary, contractor role (~20 hours per week, pay range $45 - $70 / hr depending on experience) with the potential for longer-term or full time employment in the future.
In this role, you will provide ongoing support, guidance, and feedback to our coaches. Your role will be to help them remain adherent to using evidence-based coaching principles and Prospera’s coaching manual, guide coaches in navigating more challenging cases, and help coaches with ethical and appropriate decision making related to their clients.
The role requires extensive expertise in cognitive and behavioral treatments for anxiety, depression, and trauma as well as supervision experience with novice clinicians. Further, you must be familiar with steps for assessing and triaging around suicidality, psychosis, and mania.

Requisites
- MSW, MFT, PsyD, or PhD in Clinical Psychology (or similar degree)
- Active license to practice therapy
- Extensive experience with manualized cognitive and behavioral interventions including cognitive restructuring, behavioral activation, in-vivo, imagined, and interoceptive exposure, cognitive defusion, distress tolerance, and assertive communication
- Experience with supervision of novice clinicians
- Experience with assessment of suicide risk and psychosis as well as triage planning for such clients
- Experience working with perinatal populations
- Preferred: Experience working with couples
Responsibilities
- Lead three 1.5 hour case consultation meetings per week, reviewing cases and providing support to coaches as needed
- Respond to coaching questions daily as needed
- Support coaches in responding to high risk situations
- Meet individually with coaches to provide performance feedback
- Review session videos and provide feedback to coaches
- Review session documentation and provide feedback to coaches
- Participate in new coach training
Qualities
- Passion for dissemination of evidence-based interventions
- Comfort with innovating on traditional approaches to mental health care
- Interest in and familiarity with the scientific literature in clinical psychology and evidence-based interventions
- Comfort with using and incorporating technology into clinical practice
- Enjoyment of teaching and mentoring novice clinicians
- Comfort working for an early stage start-up
